Lockworx Aveda Salon Head shots

Lockworx Aveda Salon in Lansing right by the Lansing Mall hired me to take head shots of some of their male models.  The project was to use some of Aveda's newer products made for men.  So the beautiful Lockworx salon girls cut, highlighted, and styled each of the model's hair.  I took the after shot which Lockworx will use to put in various hairstyle magazines to show as examples.  Not too bad of a day to spend will some nice, good looking men, *wink*

Mitten Mavens Bout

    This is about a month late in writing about but the Mitten Mavens had a season opener bout, "Dublin Header", this past March. The Mitten Mavens are having another bout again VS Flint on May 14th at MSU's Demonstration Hall at 7:00PM.  The next bout  unfortunately I won't be able to make because I'll be seeing 'Chicago' at the Wharton Center.  This bout was the Purple Mitten Mavens VS the Green Mitten Mavens.  It was a very exciting bout as you can see from the above photos, I wish I could see the next one. I believe the Purples won by a tad, I forgot to take a photo of the score board afterwards. After the Mitten Mavens bout, there was some "roller dancing" for the intermission and then all the derby referees played each other, which I will show photos of later, it was rough I'll tell you that much!

Emmett, Ethan, and Emily

My cute niece and nephews came over for some photos!  The session was mainly for Emmett who just turned 8 months but we had Emily and Ethan come in to, and wow were they being a bunch of cheezers!  They just wanted to goof off and be silly the whole time! Emmett, the 8 month old was the behaved one of the bunch, but we definitely got some sweet ones of all three, they can be cute sweet kids when they want, and I love them!  Emmett was also the first to use my silver "bath" tub with the rubber ducky, I love bath type photos, too cute!  I also love the photo of Emmett with mommy, is so sweet.

Natalie's Model Shoot

My friend Natalie needed a few shots for increase her portfolio so I had her come over to my studio.  We needed a make-up artist so we had Rebecca Douglas of ReLoved Designs come along too.  Rebecca does make-up and make jewelry by "recycling" it.  In the top photo Natalie is wearing my favorite piece, the gold-pistachio brooch! I just think it's absolutely amazing how Rebecca put that together.  My second favorite piece is the black button necklace, it's just too cool.  In the second photo Natalie is wearing an elegant pearl necklace and set of earrings.  And in the last photo is a bracelet made from a necktie, Rebecca has many different styles for necktie bracelet.  I'm so glad I got to shoot Natalie, she's just so gosh darn beautiful!

Sweet Little Ezra

I've taken quite a few photos in Ezra in his first 6 months since he was one week old! He is always such a sweetie, so easy to make him smile.  For every shoot we have gotten shots with him and his blue, star blanket.  I chose to share the photos of Ezra and mommy just because of how precious they were, you can tell how much he loves her.
