Love in the Kitchen:Heather & Caleb Engagement

Awesome idea! They love to cook together so what better way to spend your engagement photos! I always encourage couples to think of a theme for their sessions, something that they really enjoy doing together.  It just makes it extra special that way.

Caleb & Heather Engagement Part Uno

Aren't they just the most beautiful couple? I can't wait to take their photos. Their wedding is only one month away! These photos were done in Heather's parents backyard, they have such a beautiful back yard! One day I'll get mine to look like that.  Part 2 of their photo session is such a great idea, you'll see soon!

Jenna's One Year Birthday

Happy 1st birthday Jenna! Jenna's family held an awesome birthday bash for her turning one.  Jenna's name means 'little bird', so the whole birthday was themed with her name in mind.  Many friends and family came and the weather couldn't have been more perfect.  Ezra's birthday is very close to Jenna's so he had his 2 year pictures taken as well.  I can't get over how beautiful their family is! I just love taking their pictures.

Child Identification Kits

I received the special opportunity to shoot portraits for Child I.D. kits.  I worked with Western & Southern Financial Group who are providing the kits.  The bottom two pics are examples of what they looked like. The kits were done at at Patriarche Park in East Lansing for 'National Night Out'.  I've never heard of this event before but it was great fun! The National Guard had a climbing wall, their were police horses, a fire truck, an ambulance, bouncing castles, cotton candy and much more!  It's such a great idea for your children to get these done, I'm glad I got to help with it.

Katie & Scott's Wedding

What a beautiful wedding! Scott and Katie First Presbyterian Church in Lansing.  Everything went smoothly and was pretty perfect! We did bridal party pictures at the Capital building which was really cool, we got done just as it started to storm. As the storm calmed we drove over with just Katie and Scott to Old Town for pictures in the crazy wind! It was worth it for sure though.  The reception was at the Lansing Center in a nice big room.  It was pretty laid back and fun.  They had a candy table and a board game table (Great idea by the way!).  I'm so glad I got to photograph their wedding, they are such a fun, light-hearted couple.

Paige's Model Shoot

Paige's session was a blast! She loved to model. Paige has started getting into acting this past year and so she needed to build her model portfolio! Her favorite face to do was "I'm cool and this is boring" face, you know the one most models give.  But I told her she's best at smiling! The four on the bottom were the ones they chose for her model composite card.
