The Colorful Lenard Family

This was such a fun session! We all went to Vahallah Park in Holt on this beautiful fall day!  We sucessfully took a few good photos of the whole family with the kids and then took separate pictures of each family.  My favorite family shots were walking through the woods and I love the picture of Grandma and Grandpa, it's so sweet!  We ended the session with fun on the swing set! The perfect ending to a perfect session. :-)

Mary Kay Portrait Party

What a great idea! Stephanie, a Mary Kay director, does a lot of events for her Mary Kay consultants.  So she threw a portrait party for them.  Ten consultants made it out where they got 2-3 poses after getting their hair professionally done and doing their own make-up of course.  Afterwards they received a watermarked facebook sized photo and had the choice to purchase the photo for their business cards or whatever else they might use it for to promote themselves.  It was such a pleasure meeting them all.

The Whole Sutton Family!

Once again I am blessed to take the Sutton's family photos.  They are always a pleasure to be around.  This session was centered around Ezra who just turned 1 and 18 day old Jenna who is the new addition to this lovely family.  Ezra was so much fun to photograph! He kept on making the cutest little faces.  My favorite one above is when he gave the raised eyebrow look like, "How you doing?"  I also loved all the family photos we took, they turned out very nice and sweet as ever! 

Amy and Jason's Wedding Reception

Amy and Jason were such a lovely couple.  We shot just their wedding reception which although it was small, it was definitely happening! They chose to have their reception at the Kellogg Center on the first home MSU Football game of the season.  So the area was definitely busy and full of life! The decor was really pretty and for each assigned table they named the table after different places they used to hang out at when they attended MSU as students.  I thought it was pretty clever. The cake was scrumptious and their first dance was adorable! It was a great reception overall.  They had Jammin' Dj's there which kept the party going late after midnight, the couple even brought in pizzas as a late night snack!  That was after the appetizers and three course dinner.  They even had a caricature artist there who drew the guests caricatures all night.  Very good idea I must say.

Jenna the little bird

  Little Jenna, her name means little bird or gift.  She was so incredibly cute! We had some fun ideas for her newborn photos. We dressed up her like a little bird and even put her on a scale! Of course the scale isn't correct because of the basket, but it was still super cute! Jenna was adopted so this last picture is Cynthia's maternity picture of her and Jenna.  Isn't her little foot and hand sooo cute! It was such a joy photographing her, Jenna is definitely a great gift for her family and me too!

Cute Doggies and their Parents

Being an animal person, I really enjoyed this shoot! I love taking photos of people of course, but I don't get much of a chance to take dog photos.  We went to the island by Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge with Rambo, Riley, and Cooper on a perfect day! We had other dogs being walked by so sometimes it was a challenge to keep the dogs still, but it worked out great.  I love the willow trees across the water, they made the photo even more beautiful.  I made sure to get some fun close-up portraits of the dogs too, they were just too cute to resist!   We also made some attempts at get the dogs to run at me to get some action shots, I think they turned out cute!  I also loved the black and white photo of the three dogs, it almost looks like a mirrored image with Rambo in the middle looking like he's unsure of himself lol.
