Sunset On The Beach : Alexandra & Erik

LOVED this session! The sunset and weather couldn't have been more perfect.  We held this session on a beach on the Old Mission Peninsula near where Alex and Erik had a pre-Wedding Reception Party. We had so much fun getting in the water! I'm glad we did it! Wedding Reception photos will be next!

Engagement : Dusty + Todd

I loved that we did a camping engagement session in the woods! Camping is one of Dusty and Todd's favorite things to do together so I thought, why not do it for your engagement session?! After a cozy time around the fire we took a romantic stroll around the woods and tried to avoid getting bitten by mosquitos! I can't wait to shoot their wedding in December! 

Proposal : Amy said yes!

  

How sweet was this!? John asked Amy to marry him at sunset by this beautiful lake near Island State Park. Despite there being no sunset because of the very cloudy day it was still VERY romantic and Amy was definitely surprised! John did a great job picking out the ring too that's for sure! After he proposed, Amy saw me and we took a little stroll to take a few cute portraits. I'm so glad I could be a part of this special moment!

Wedding : Leilani & Justin

                                                 

                                                   

Leilani and Justin were such a sweet couple, and gorgeous at that! There wedding was held at the Riverside Golf Course in Battle Creek which was a neat place for pictures because it was on top of a steep hill of many. The wedding was so very heart felt, I was so happy to be apart of it. They are definitely a couple who loves and adores each other! Their wedding was also super unique! They both LOVE playing soccer, so what did they do? They were married under a soccer goal! So cute! They even had a blinged out soccer ball for a center piece. Oh my goodness and the bouquet and garter toss was perfect because the ring bearer caught the garter and the flower girl caught the bouquet! Too cute! What a momentous occasion!

Newborn : Penelope Carol

Isn't she the cutest ever?!  Penelope did so well for her newborn portraits! She was such a sweetheart and didn't complain at all when we put huge flowers on her head or when sissy held her. This session, by the way, was the first time big sister got to hold her little sis! She was very loving to her.  I'm going to love watching Penelope grow but I will definitely miss her being so tiny!

Capital Area Blues Society

 I went to the "Blues Brawl" for the Capital Area Blues Society this year held at The Green Door in Lansing. It was a blast! I missed the 1st and last bands but I got to enjoy Big Will (solo) Gina Garner & Brian Kandler, Tywla Birdsong, John Patrick Peters Band, and Step Away.
