Kim and Aric's Halloween Wedding

What a sweet Halloween wedding! Kim and Aric were married privately at their home with only 6 other family members. It was romantic and very Halloween-esk as you can see from the detail pictures.  The ceremony was very sweet and emotional, starting with the flower girl throwing candy corn down the aisle to the kiss.  I can definitely see the love between them.  Afterwards we had the cake cutting with a "bloody" knife and their beautiful formals outside in their wooded area. 

Kelsey and Shaun are engaged!

Shaun and Kelsey were so sweet on their engagement session! We went to Shaun's parent's house where they had horses and a nice wooded area behind the house.  So of course we had to get a shot of them of the horse.  They had fun in the leaves and even climbing a tree stand.  And they had to get shots with their dog, she was so sweet.  I can't wait for their New Year's Eve wedding next year!

Bourn Family

I discovered the charms of Howell State Park with the Born family. I usually don't go that far for sessions but it was worth it. The park had a nice playground, a lot of tees, and a lake. Beautiful setting! It was however quite cold and windy that day, but we still manned through it! Another photographer came the same time we were there to photograph a quinceanera, and they were even more crazy being in dresses!

Ele's Place Fall Reception

I had the honor of shooting for Ele's Place Fall Reception again this year.  The reception is to honor the sponsors and to benefit the children at Ele's Place through the silent auction and by sharing personal success stories within the families there.  The Special Guest of Honor this year was Michael Wells, President and CEO of Jackson National Life Insurance Company.  The picture above shows the family with Michael Wells who shared their story of how they benefited from Ele's Place after their loss of their  mother and wife.  It was a very touching story.  After the family shared, the kids gave Michael Wells a photo they drew in appreciation for his help to Ele's Place.  After the speeches and slide show everyone congregated outside to do the yearly balloon release, to represent all the children's loved ones.

Psycho Circus at Fahrenheit

I was invited to shoot with my friend Karah from Karah Keller Imaging at Fahrenheit Bar and Lounge in South Lansing for an event called Psycho Circus.  We set up a photo booth and charge customers for web photos.  But the fun part was the entertainment.  They had fire breathing and other odd talents like putting your head in broken glass while the girl stepped on your head and putting a mouse trap on your tongue.  Nothing normal people should ever attempt.  My favorite part as you ca tell was the fire breathing.

Sarah's Senior Photos

I had such an awesome time photographing Sarah for her senior photos! We met at MSU's clock tower and just wondered around from there.  It was a beautiful day and perfect lighting! I swear Sarah could be a model, she's so beautiful and has the perfect smile.   I have a lot of nice smiling photos but some that I put up of her are just candid wen she wasn't paying attention.  Oh, and we of course had to do a few of her sweet boyfriend, Jonny. 

Travis's Senior Session

Travis was pretty cool taking photos of.  He was very laid back and easy to get that nice shot.  We went out to his parent's house in Bath, they own a tree farm so we had plenty to work with.  His favorite pose was with the ol' John Deere tractor, which was pretty awesome.  We of course had to get a few shots of his cute dog, who was a huge sweetheart.  It was a nice time out at their place or sure.
